The village of Woodhouse Eaves wraps around Windmill Hill, on which the base of the former mill remains.
	Just west of Windmill Hill is Broombriggs Country Park and near by also are the beauty spots of the Out Woods, Beacon Hill and Swithland Woods.

In other directions are field paths to Swithland Reservoir (via "Rabbit Bridge" over the historic Great Central Railway), to the more ancient village of 'Old' Woodhouse (and hence to Quorn), and to Loughborough.
